High School & College Scholarship Series

Solutions Management, LLC is proud to announce our 2010 Scholarship Series at Pueblo Motorsports Park. The traditional High School Scholarship Series will continue, as well as, the newly presented College Scholarship Series. Pueblo Motorsports Park will be the place to be this summer as High School and College competitors will compete for $4,000.00 worth of scholarships.

The series will be contested every Friday Night Drag starting on May 28 and ending on August 20, thirteen races will comprise the series. The first Friday Night Drag, May 21, will be a Test-N-Tune for the series competitors. The Test-N-Tune session will have seasoned racers available to assist first time competitors. A facility tour and on-track tour will also be available for all first time racers to become familiar with all facets of the race.

Competitors will be given three time trials every Friday night prior to eliminations. The first time trial will begin at 6:30 p.m. and eliminations will begin at 9:00 p.m.

The top four High School Class points winners will be eligible to participate in the NHRA Division 5 Finals that will be contested in Topeka Kansas in September.

High School competitors must be enrolled or attending High School or accredited school.

College competitors must be enrolled or just completed college classes from an accredited college, minimum of 9 credit hours are required.

General Rules for both classes:

  • All participants must have a valid driver’s license (no temp/restricted licenses allowed) or NHRA license.
  • If possible, High School and College students will be divided until final rounds of competition.
  • Open to full bodied cars, 11.50 seconds & slower. (Full bodied cars have full fenders, hood, grille, top, windshield and functional doors.)
  • Open or closed exhaust allowed.
  • Drag slicks allowed with driveline loop (13.99 seconds & quicker).
  • Racers 16 and 17 years of age must have a signed 2010 Minor Release and Waiver of Liability Agreement Form by both parents or legal guardians.
  • Trophies awarded for Winner and Runner-up.
  • Top four in points at the end of the season will be eligible for scholarships. (If fewer than 15 racers participate in this program on average the scholarship amount may be decreased. Management has the right to divide the program in two, High School and College, if the program has enough participation. Scholarships may also be divided between the two groups).
  • Permitted are Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) computer.
  • No rev limiter unless it is Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM).
  • Two wheel line loc only.
